CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Results of an autopsy performed on a boy allegedly murdered by his brother over what began as an apparently mundane computer conflict confirmed that the victim died of a stab wound to the chest, according to a report released Wednesday.

Coral Springs Police reported 15-year-old William Gorzynski killed his 14-year-old sibling, Matthew, inside their home Monday afternoon during an argument over the volume of some computer speakers. "The two brothers were having a dispute over the sound of the speakers that were hooked up to the computer. The dispute actually escalated to where it became physical. William armed himself with a kitchen knife from the kitchen and actually stabbed Matthew one time in the chest," said Coral Springs Police Sergeant Joe McHugh.

A woman who asked not to be identified said she does not believe the accused intended to kill his brother. "We, in our heart of hearts, just want it and know it to be an accident," she said, speaking from in front of the family's residence. "We are not happy with that word: murder. We know Matt; we know Will."

William's father and oldest brother were permitted to speak with him for the first time since the teen's arrest. "Horrible," said the defendant's attorney. "It is difficult. We all broke down just now in the jury room, talking to the young boy. You're not talking to a hardened criminal."

The medical examiner's office said they could release the teen's body sometime Wednesday, once the boy's family confirms his funeral arrangements.

A memorial comprised of heartfelt notes, along with football and skateboard magazines, has taken shape near the sidewalk in front of the scene of the crime.
