City votes against stadium lights at high school
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- It's lights out for a South Florida high school football field.
A city board voted against a permit that would allow Cardinal Gibbons High School to use their stadium lights for a year.
Nearby residents said the lights violate city codes by exceeding the approved height limit.
School officials were hoping to have the lights temporarily approved while they figured out what to do about the code violation.
