WSVN -- For the ultimate luxury in beauty, bring on the bling, like Egypt's queen of the Nile and lavish your skin in gold.

At Viso Medspa in Wellington, women are striking beauty gold. With the 24 karat gold facial, delicate leaves of pure gold are layered on the face.

Rachel McInnis: "The amount of gold that is on her face right now is equivalent to a nice gold necklace."

The glittering mask is massaged into the face. Then, once the gold has absorbed into the pores, the body rejects it, causing an anti-aging effect.

Rachel McInnis: "The skin will sort of see it as a foreign body and try to fend it off, and the way our skin responds is to create collagen and elastin."

Sharon Hardcastle: "It just started warming up. It was very relaxing."

The golden treatment is supposed to brighten the complexion and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Sharon feels like it's the gold standard for younger-looking skin.

At the Skin Institute in North Miami, customers can indulge in the Chinese pearl facial. Pearls are king of the sea when it comes to nutrients.

Sheila Treadway: "It's got a lot of amino acids. There are 15 or 20 amino acids in pearls, and of course that helps to build new cells."

During this hour-long facial, crushed pearls are used to get rid of dead skin cells.

Sheila Treadway: "These micro-crystals of the pearls will help exfoliate the skin for cellular turnover, which will produce that younger, fresher skin that we want."

Then a mask made of pearls is applied to help lighten and brighten the skin.

Sheila Treadway: "So if you've got issues with hyper-pigmentation with spotting, this will help lighten those spots."

Min Sanchez says it's left her skin as pretty as a pearl.

Min Sanchez: "A definite decrease in the fine lines around my eyes, around my mouth and definitely lightening on the spots."
